Now We Are Six...

First day home from the hospital

Six years ago...God blessed us with not one blessing but two.  Two babies are a lot of work and the first months seemed like a blur.  You wonder when you're going through it, how will we survive?  But God gives you the grace and just like in childbirth you forget how hard it was.  I can't believe our babies are six...can't wait for the next six years to watch them grow and change.  You both are such a blessing...so different yet the same....our twins.

First Christmas

Turning Three

Now We Are Six - A.A. Milne

When I was one I had just begun
When I was two I was nearly new

When I was three I was hardly me
When I was four I was not much more

When I was five I was just alive
But now I am six, I'm as clever as clever;

So I think I'll be six now for ever and ever

Happy 6th Birthday!

Supporting Freedom of Speech

Lunch today and an ice cream later!

The kids couldn't wait to support Chick-Fil-A today especially when they saw the cars lined up in the drive thru all the way down the street.  Everytime we drove by there today in our little town it was packed.  They even talked me into going back for ice cream...it's a good cause!
Yes, our freedom and standing up for truth is most important!

The Dog Days of Summer...

Wow...where has the time gone?  This post is long overdue.  We have been living and learning this summer.  Checking off things the kids wanted to do this summer...A Summer Bucket List!  A lot of trying to stay cool...it's been unusually hotter here than what we're used to.

Three men in a tub...wish I could still fit in a tub like that!

Celebrating the Fourth of July with some Pinterest ideas.  Had a great time with family and neighbors. We did miss our family up north...we'll see them later this summer, can't wait.  Lots of our bucket list items to check off there!

Staying cool in the pool!

Fun on our new zip line...thanks Uncle Frank!

Lego Boy's newest interest...archery

Bullseye!

Legos are always a favorite way to keep cool inside...Lego boy is always making Star Wars vehicles.

Cowgirl's rendition of our family...don't you just love Mom's jewelry!

Dress up...

Caught Horse Lover on Dad's Father's Day gift...the best way to stay cool is reading!

Callie can't wait for the next chapter...guess what we're reading together?

Until next time...I'll try not to take so long to post!

Protest...Religious Freedom!

Our first protest...what a great learning day today! When we first entered the historic Kelly Ingram Park we saw this sign.

This park served as a central staging ground for civil rights demonstrations in Birmingham in the 1960's . The idea of standing up where other great people also stood to fight for truth was very humbling.  The kids were quiet while we listened to all the speakers and stood with lots of our Catholic friends in protest of the HH mandate.  This issue is not a Catholic one but an issue for every American and the protection of our freedoms.  We pray for God's hand in this....

While we stood for an hour listening to the speakers in the heat, the kids kept quiet building fairy campsites.  What fun to be a kid!

Happy Pentecost Sunday!

We decided to go to Mass this evening so we could relax in the morning and do a little Pentecost craft we found here. This is what our morning looked like...

Thank you Holy Spirit for the gifts of Knowledge, Piety, Understanding, Counsel, Wisdom,Fortitude, and Fear of the Lord.  Hope your family did something special for this special feast day.

What I liked about this week...

A trail ride first thing in the morning with our new horses Spirit and Boomer!

Starting your own car wash business!

Learning on the ipad while your sister watches and then hides when the camera comes out!

Finally...

I have been planning this blog in my head for a few years...finally it is coming to fruition thanks to my wonderful friend Lori at busywithblessings.blogspot.com.  Since I am a visual person, it took her and her lovely daughters holding my hand all the way.  So if I can do it, you can to!  We have been homeschooling for three years and after much reading (at least 10 books)  we have relaxed into somewhat of a learning lifestyle.  Thanks for stopping by and hopefully you can get a little view of our living and learning as well as a few laughs.  We put each day into God's hands because his is always a better plan than our own!
